Allana was chosen to represent Australia at Rugby Sevens 2013, but subsequent knee injuries kept her off the field. It took many years for Allana to get back in rugby league. Allana had her first ever union rugby game for women that was played with New South Wales in 2013 and stood out in that match against Queensland. Allana is also a regular radio presenter, appearing frequently on 2GB's Continuous Call Team. Allana holds a professional teaching qualification outside of sports. Allana Ferguson is the only Australia player to represent Australia in the rugby sevens competition and the rugby league, and also touch.
